Castleview B&B is located near Dufftown, a town whose fortunes were built on the whisky industry. The famous distilleries of Glenfiddich, Balvenie, Glenlivet and many more are all in the area and form part of the popular ‘Whisky Trail.
As the name suggests, this B&B enjoys a great view of Auchindoun Castle just a short distance away. Set in beautifully landscaped gardens with a stream and summer house.
There are 2 bedrooms (twin/kingsize double) upstairs, each with ensuite luxury shower, well stocked hospitality tray, TV with Netflix, toiletries, hairdryer, etc. The house offers a guest lounge, as well as drying facilities, fishing rods and bike storage.
Castleview offers an exclusive Fine Dining Experience with Dinner, B&B breaks where you can enjoy a 6-course tasting menu on the first night of your stay. You can also indulge in a Whisky or Seafood themed 3-course dinner on subsequent nights. Experience the taste of Scotland with your host Ian who is an enthusiastic amateur chef who trained under two Michelin star chefs.
In the mornings, breakfast is freshly cooked using the best of Scottish produce.
Castleview is ideal for touring the Castle Trail and Whisky Trail. Learn all about the area at the Dufftown Whisky Museum. Take a ride on the Keith and Dufftown heritage railway which is an 11-mile line linking the two historic towns. You can also explore the scenery and wildlife of the Cairngorms National Park and Royal Deeside. Along the north-east coastline, discover the harbours of Buckie, Portsoy, Banff and Macduff. Historic sites in the area include Elgin cathedral, Pictish fort at Burghead and Duffus Castle. There are plenty of golf courses and opportunities for fishing.
