4 Star Bed and Breakfast located near the town of Lockerbie in the South West of Scotland close to Junction 20 of the M74.

Torbeckhill is set in 16 acres of grounds with spectacular views of the rolling hills of South West Scotland and the Solway Firth, with the Lake District in the background.

This B&B is in a light and airy bungalow where all the accommodation is on the ground floor with 2 bedrooms (Double or Twin). Each room includes bathrobes and toiletries. The house offers wonderful views which you can also enjoy from a secluded outdoor seating area. Guests are welcome to relax in the lounge with TV, log fire and picture windows. You might be able to spot red squirrels, owls and deer.

Torbeckhill offers an extensive home-cooked breakfast which can include bacon, egg, sausage, mushrooms, tomato and potato scone. Your hosts can give you recommendations for local restaurants for evening meals and help with booking a table.
Ample parking and secure storage for bikes and cycles. A drying room is also available for outdoor gear.

Location

Torbeckhill is the perfect peaceful retreat from which to explore Dumfries and Galloway, the Borders and all of Southern Scotland. You can visit the sites of many of Scotland's historic battles and explore castles such as Caerlaverock, Drumlanrig, Threave and Hermitage. Other local attractions include Annandale Distllery, Devils Porridge museum, the famous Blacksmith Shop at Gretna Green and Gretna Green Outlet Village. The market town of Dumfries with its Robert Burns Centre is a 30-minute drive. The historic Border towns of Hawick, Selkirk, Melrose and Kelso are all within a short drive for a day trip.
The area is offers many opportunities for walking, cycling and fishing. There are 3 golf courses within a 20-minute radius at Powfoot, Lochmaben and Lockerbie.
It is an ideal stopping off point if you are traveling North or South between England and Scotland with the M74 being just a few minutes away. Gretna, Carlisle and Lockerbie are all within a 15-minute drive. Hadrian's Wall with its visitor centre is just 45 minutes away in Cumbria.
