Ardno House is nestled amidst some of the best scenery in the Scottish Highlands at the foot of a wooded mountain with superb views over Loch Linnhe and beyond to the Ardgour Hills. Situated 3 miles from Ballachulish and 15 miles from Fort William, the house is perfect for exploring the west coast and is adjacent to the Caledonian Way cycle route.

All 4 large and comfortable bedrooms are fitted to a very high standard with quality kingsize beds and spacious ensuite bathrooms. Two of the bedrooms have a bath as well as a shower. One bedroom is on the ground floor. All bedrooms have complimentary bathroom toiletries from the Highland Soap Company, TV, free Wi-Fi access, hairdryer, USB charging points, silent mini fridge, hospitality tray and home baking.
Guests can enjoy relaxing in the first floor lounge and can often watch a glorious sunset over the loch. There is ample private free off road parking for cars. Please note guests at Ardno House must be 18 or over.
Start your day with one of Robert's acclaimed full Scottish cooked breakfasts with plenty of choice for vegetarians, vegans and other diets. Oatcakes, shortbread, jams and marmalades are all homemade on the premises. From the breakfast room, you can watch some of many garden birds, spot a red squirrel and even an occasional pine-marten.
Ardno House is perfectly situated for exploring Lochaber ('The Outdoor Capital of the UK') and the West Coast of the Highlands including the Road the Isles.
Enjoy a walk or hire a cycle and ride along the side of Loch Linnhe, enjoy the stunning scenery and watch otters, seals and sea birds.
Explore Glen Coe's National Nature Reserve, the home of The Three Sisters, Ossian's Cave, The Meeting of the Three Waters and Hidden Valley and site of the tragic massacre in 1692. You can visit the National Trust for Scotland Visitor Centre to learn about the history, geology and geography of the area. Take the chairlift at the Glencoe Mountain Resort and enjoy stunning views of Glen Coe and Rannoch Moor or take part in all year-round outdoor activities.
Take a scenic drive through Ardnamurchan and discover the lighthouse at the most westerly point of the British mainland and the ruins of 13th century Castle Tioram. The three peninsulas of Morar, Moidart and Ardnamurchan are a National Scenic Area with spectacular sandy beaches.
Drive down the beautiful Glen Etive - the filming location of Braveheart and James Bond's Skyfall.
From Fort William, you can see Scotland's highest mountain Ben Nevis, visit Neptune's Staircase on the Caledonian Canal, visit the Ben Nevis Distillery and Jacobite Museum, or take a walk to Steall Falls. You can also book a trip on the Jacobite Train from Fort William to Mallaig and ride over the 'Harry Potter' viaduct at Glenfinnan.
From the road to Oban you can see Monty Python's "Castle Aaargh" - the historic Castle Stalker. Wildlife boat trips are available from Oban and Fort William.
