Set in the heart of the fishing village of Fionnphort overlooking the Sound of Iona with wonderful sunsets and views of the historic Abbey, this long established and traditional island cottage offers a unique and authentic experience of life on a Hebridean island.
Seaview Bed and Breakfast is the home of award-winning Hebridean hospitality, delicious food, good craic and 'Scottish Thistle' winning customer service. Built from the famous Ross of Mull pink granite, by the Stephenson stonemasons who built the lighthouses, the cottage is situated just 2 minutes walk from Fionnphort pier where you can watch the fishermen bringing in their catch, take the ferry to Iona or go on a boat trip to explore Staffa and the Treshnish Isles.
The B&B has a choice of 4 bedrooms - 1 super kingsize double / twin on the ground foor, plus 1 kingsize double and 2 single rooms upstairs. Two bedrooms are dog friendly. Guests are welcome to relax in the lounge which has an extensive library of local books. Your hosts John and Jane are happy to make restaurant and trip reservations for you, as well as help with itinerary planning, advice and suggestions to make the most of your stay on Mull which is a jewel of the Inner Hebrides.
John and Jane are also committed to sustainable green hospitality with their excellent environmental and ecological business practices. They held the Gold award in the Green Tourism Business Scheme from 2007 - 2024 after which they decided to leave the scheme while continuing their own green ethos.

Enjoy stunning panoramic views from the breakfast room overlooking Fionnphort bay. Your hosts are passionate about the 'slow food' movement, using locally sourced, seasonal and home grown fresh food produce (organic wherever possible). Guests can choose from an extensive menu featuring the famous Fingal's Breakfast for those with a hearty appetite with finest quality meat supplied by award-winning McCaskie's master butchers. The 'Big Veggie Breakfast' is also designed to set you up for the day or you can try lighter options including Loch Fyne smoked kippers. The mega mix fresh fruit salad is served at the height of the season.

Seaview is ideally located for exploring Iona, Staffa, Lunga, Erraid and the other islands of Ulva and Gometra, as well as countless rugged walks along the coasts, forests, moors and hills. The Isle of Mull offers the complete Hebridean experience collectively offering everything other islands offer individually. It is a gem of a place for walking, Munro Bagging, amazing white sandy beaches, water-based activities, boat trips, wildlife spotting, marine life and bird watching. You may be able to spot white-tailed eagles, otters, deer, seals and puffins.
Atractions on Mull include Duart Castle, the Ardalanish Weavers Mill using original 1920s looms, Lochbuie Standing Stones, Maclaine Mausoleum, Moy Castle and the picturesque town of Tobermory. Mull also has many interesting geological features including the Burg Fossil Tree and Carsaig Arches.
As well as being the ferry port for Iona, Fionnphort also has a grocery store, post office, gift shop, snack bar at the pier, The Keel Row restaurant and pub, and The Creel Fresh Seafood Bar which is owned by a local fishing family providing crab, lobster and fish and chips.
The passenger ferry has regular crossings to Iona where you can visit the historic Abbey and beautiful beaches. Boat trips also run from Fionnphort to Staffa and Fingal's Cave, and the Treshnish Isles where you can see seabird colonies including guillimots, puffins, shags, storm petrels, skuas, Kittiwakes, great northern diver, gannets and razorbills.
Fionnphort is approximately one hour's drive from Mull's main ferry terminal at Craignure along the A849 (single track road). There is also a bus service from Craignure to Fionnphort. There are regular ferries from Oban to Craignure, as well as 2 smaller ferries to Mull from Lochaline to Fishnish and Kilchoan to Tobermory.
