Brandon Lodge

Quality 4 Star stone cottage nestled in idyllic countryside, ideally situated for exploring the Moray Coast and inland Aberdeenshire.

Enjoy the peace and tranquillity of this rural location with uninterrupted views of rolling countryside and the calming sounds of nature. Originally built as three linked stone cottages in the 1900s, Brandon Lodge has been converted into one spacious home which now offers 4 Star B&B accommodation.

The ground floor has 1 kingsize double room (with en-suite shower) overlooking the courtyard garden at the rear of the Lodge. Upstairs there are 2 bedrooms which can be let together as a family suite (1 kingsize double room and 1 standard double room) with their own private bathroom with shower. All bedrooms have tea/coffee, hair dryer, blackout shades, WiFi, etc.

Guests are free to relax in a spacious garden area complete with outdoor seating. You can also unwind in the elegantly designed living/dining room with a log burner for added comfort. Upstairs, there is a cosy nook featuring local crafts and a selection of reading materials. Sample a traditional Scottish cooked breakfast or lighter options in the morning.

Location

Staying at Brandon Lodge means you are just a short drive from the historic harbour village of Portsoy and the dramatic Moray coastline. Nearby Troup Head is an RSPB reserve which is Scotland's largest mainland colony of gannets and also has thousands of kittiewakes, guillemots and razorbills. You may be able to spot seals, dolphins, porpoises and whales from the coast or on local boat trips.
Conveniently situated along the North East 250 Tourist Route, Brandon Lodge is also ideal for visiting historic castles, standing stones and the distilleries of the Malt Whisky Trail. Places of interest include Duff House, Fyvie Castle, Huntly Castle, the Scottish Lighthouses museum and the Macduff Marine Aquarium. The surrounding area has excellent fishing rivers, cycling and walking routes, golf courses, and much more.
