Set in a semi-rural location at the edge of Ceres Village next to Craighall Den, Craighall Steading B&B has stunning views of the Lomond Hills and countryside.
There are 3 ensuite king-size double bedrooms which are decorated in a contemporary style with accents of Scottish fabrics and furnishings from local artists. Each bedroom features a smart TV, free WiFi, USB points, small fridge, refreshment facilities, hypnos mattress and 100% cotton bedding. The ensuites have a rainfall shower with complimentary Scottish Fine Soaps toiletries, 100% Turkish cotton towels, plus fluffy bathrobes. Guests can relax in the swivel chairs and enjoy the views through floor to ceiling windows, or you can sit outside in the private garden with patio area. You are welcome to bring a bottle of wine or fizz and use the glasses provided.
The Garden View bedroom is on the lower ground floor with direct access to the garden; you dog is welcome in this room for a small charge.
The Courtyard View room is on the ground floor and is suitable people with limited mobility. Toddlers and small children can be accommodated (cot and highchair available).
The Lomond View room gives the best view across the countryside to the Lomond hills.
Craighall Steading has been shortlisted in the 2024 Scottish Thistle Awards for 'Best B&B or Guest House Experience' in the Central and East region.
Breakfast is served in the open-plan kitchen/living area. Enjoy a hearty breakfast cooked to order with eggs from the chickens in the garden, as well as a selection of fresh fruit from the garden, yoghurts, cereals, juices and pastries using locally sourced ingredients.
Fife is well known for its spectacular coastline, picturesque fishing villages and world-famous golf courses, and offers plenty of opportunities for walking, cycling, and fishing. Ceres is a very attractive village with pretty pantile cottages around a central green. It's home to the Fife Folk Museum, cafes, restaurant, pub, shop and a pottery. The village hosts the annual Highland Games on the last weekend in June.
Neighbouring Craighall Den is a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) with picturesque woodland walks around a burn. It's one of the largest areas of semi-natural woodland in northeast Fife and the perfect place to enjoy bluebells in the spring.
Craighall Steading is a 15-minute walk from the Fife Pilgrim Way gateway in the centre of Ceres. This 64-mile walking route stretches from Culross or North Queensferry to St Andrews with spectacular views along the way.
There's lots of explore within a short drive including St Andrews (9 miles) and Dundee (15 miles), plus historic attractions including the Secret Bunker, Scotstarvit Tower (Historic Scotland), Hill of Tarvit Mansion and Garden (National Trust for Scotland) and Falkland Palace (NTS).
