With its wide variety of terrain, Scotland has something for everyone. From stunning walks by the coast or lochs to paths through forests and fields, or hill and mountain hikes for the more adventurous.
There are also dozens of waymarked longer distance trails such as those listed below where you can explore more miles or simply walk along the sections of your choice.

Some can also arrange drop off / pick up if you are needing transport to / from your chosen walking route.

Walking Events in Scotland in 2025

There are many charity walking events across Scotland, as well as hill races, marathons and ultra marathons.
