All the bedrooms have a hospitality tray, hairdryer, TV, Wi-Fi and luxury toiletries made by Scottish Fine Soaps. An ironing board can be provided on request.
Guests can relax in the lounge with a log fire, and watch the ferry coming and going just a mile away.

Food

Breakast is freshly cooked with local produce and served in the dining room overlooking the sea. You can enjoy a traditional Scottish cooked breakfast with bacon, sausage, haggis, baked beans, potato scone and fried egg, or try the vegetarian option. Lighter bites include scrambled free range eggs on toasted homemade sourdough bread with bacon or Scottish smoked salmon. Porridge, fresh fruit, cereals and yoghurt are also available, plus hot drinks, fruit juice and toast. Guests with food intolerances can be catered for. AA Breakfast award (2025).

Location

Located at the north end of Skye, Uig offers the best of both worlds. A beautiful quiet village to relax and enjoy, it can also be the gateway to adventure. Located 2 miles from the 'Fairy Glen' and 6 miles from the Quiraing, there are great walks for all levels of ability around the Trotternish peninsula. Ask your hosts about the nearby waterfall walk, as well as a cliff-top walk to Idrigill point.
If you enjoy seafood, then don't miss the 'Galley' Seafood Café where shellfish is delivered from sea to your plate on the same day! Uig is also home to the CalMac ferry where you can travel across to Lochmaddy on North Uist or Tarbert on Harris in the Outer Hebrides.
You can learn about the area's geology and dinosaur discoveries of footprints and fossils in the museum at Staffin, and step back to the 18th century at the Skye Museum of Island Life in Kilmuir. Dunvegan Castle and Talisker Distillery are other popular visitor attractions.
Whether you are keen on touring, sightseeing, walking or bird-watching, Woodbine House is ideal for getting away from it all and exploring the north of Skye. It is 16 miles from the town of Portree.
