Here's just some of the Christmas markets in Scotland in 2024 where you can browse around to find special gifts. More dates will be added later in the year.

Farmers markets are a wonderful way to sample fresh Scottish produce from artisan cheeses to seafood, seasonal fruit and vegetables, as well as homemade bread and preserves. Some also have plant stalls and local crafts for sale. Please check with event organisers before travelling to ensure that events are going ahead as planned. Some markets are only open until lunchtime or early afternoon.
Dumfries Farmers Market
On the 1st Sunday of the month (except January) plus a pre-Christmas market on the 3rd Sunday in December.
Kelso Farmers Market
On the 4th Saturday of the month.
Kirkcudbright Farmers' and Producers Market
On the 4th Sunday of each month (March to December).
Edinburgh Farmers Market
Every Saturday all year round on Castle Terrace.
Grassmarket Market
Food and craft stalls every Saturday in Edinburgh's famous Grassmarket
Leith Market

Stirling Farmers Market

Bowhouse Market weekends
Second weekend of each month (except January and February) with local food and drink traders from across Scotland. This undercover market space at Bowhouse is in the East Neuk of Fife between Elie and St Monans.
Montrose Farmers Market
On the 1st Saturday of the month (except January)
Inverness Farmers Market
On the first Saturday of the month (except January) plus a pre-Christmas market in mid December.
Cairngorms Farmers Market
Uusually the first Sunday of the month from April to November (in June it's the 2nd Sunday), plus markets at the end of August and the end of November. Local food and drink plus crafts from the Cairngorms area.
Thurso Community Market
Regular market on the first Saturday on the month, based in the Thurso Royal British Legion showcasing local crafts, gifts, decor and produce.
Aboyne Farmers Market
On the 2nd Saturday of the month April to October.
