Close to the Isle of Mull ferry in the small village of Lochaline, this Grade B listed terraced cottage is an ideal base for exploring Mull and the West Highland Peninsulas. You will receive a warm welcome from your hosts Tom and Iain, as well as Whiskey, their golden retriever.

Castle View offers a choice of 2 kingsize double rooms - one overlooking the garden and the other looks across the Sound of Mull. Each bedroom has a TV with Amazon Prime and Netflix, free WiFi, USB ports, silent fridge, full length mirror and hairdryer. Fresh flowers, fruit, chocolates and homemade shortbread will help you feel a little spoiled. You can make your own refreshments using the Lavazza coffee machine plus a selection of teas & hot chocolate. The beds have an easy lift function, perfect for additional storage underneath and they also have deep mattress toppers and super soft hotel quality linen. The Garden View room has an ensuite shower over bath, while the Sea View room has an ensuite rain shower. The bathrooms have free toiletries, bathrobes and slippers.

Guests are welcome to sit in the back garden which has decking and a gas barbeque. You can also relax on the loungers on the front garden and enjoy the ever-changing views over the Sound of Mull and Ardtornish Castle. The perfect place for unwinding with a complimentary drink before dinner.

You can take breakfast either in the kitchen or in your room if you prefer. Continental breakfast options include fresh fruit, hams and cheeses with freshly baked goods. The cooked buffet features Cumberland sausage, Ayrshire thick bacon, hashbrowns, tomato, mushroom and scrambled egg. Vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options are available.

Guests at the B&B can order from the à la carte dinner menu which is served in the kitchen. Simply select from a range of starters, main courses and desserts (24 hours notice required). For a lighter meal or snack in the evening in the comfort of your bedroom, you can order from the Room Service menu which includes soup, sandwiches, pizza and desserts.

The remote and unspoilt Morvern Peninsula is home to a wonderful range of scenery from high mountains to secluded beaches, with ancient woodland covering the hillsides in between. It's the perfect place to enjoy the great outdoors with plenty of opportunities for walking, cycling, fishing, wildlife spotting and stargazing. There are lots walking and cycling routes through the forest, hills or round the lochs. Near Drimnin you can take a guided tour of the Nc'nean Distillery which is a unique independent, organic whisky distillery featuring sustainable production. Your hosts are very happy to help with recommendations for what to see and where to eat in the local area.  
The B&B is just 1 minute's drive from the Lochaline to Fishnish ferry to the Isle of Mull. There's lots to explore on and around Mull including boat trips to see puffins and whales, historic Duart Castle, golf at Craignure and all brightly coloured shops in Tobermory, as well as the ferry to Iona.  
You can also explore Ardnamurchan, Moidart and the Road to the Isles. Fort William is a scenic 40-mile drive via the Corran Ferry which only takes 5 minutes to cross Loch Linnhe. Oban is 19.5 miles away via the 2 Mull ferries or 66.5 miles if you take the Corran Ferry.
